I am so excited to finally share this wedding! Hands down, one of my FAVORITE Rochester, NY weddings this season. I feel like I keep saying that but, it’s so freaking true. My couples make my job so fun and such a breeze.
Laurel and Alicia live in Florida but married in Rochester, New York this past July. Due to this, I wasn’t able to meet them until their wedding day. Usually I like to do engagement sessions prior to weddings so we have a chance to get to know each other. It also gives couples another chance to be in front of my camera so they are more comfortable the day of! Because we didn’t get to do any of this, I’ll admit that I was a little nervous, hoping we would all connect and they would trust my non-stop moving self on wedding day!
Long story short, they both were so down to earth. I immediately clicked with Alicia upon arriving (who was at the venue prior to Laurel) - photographed all of her details before Laurel arrived, and as soon as she did I knew the day was going to be so, so good.
Most of their day was spent at Deer Run Winery (the best wedding venue in Geneseo!!). Both girls put finishing touches on at the winery, and had the most beautiful ceremony within the vineyard on site. It’s safe to say as soon as I heard The Only Exception by Paramore, violin style…I was in tears.
Their wedding party looked stunning with alternating purples, blues and the most gorgeous wedding bouquets! The vineyard at Deer Run Winery in Geneseo, NY has beautiful diffused lighting, it was every photographer’s dream. I always grab my couples during sunset to catch a few more portraits but we didn’t really have a sunset, we had dark rolling clouds instead. MAN, it made for some beautiful photos. Also….Alicia’s one piece had a cape AND pockets so, I was basically freaking out.
